Even though I am making a salary now as a college graduate, a big part of that is going towards paying off student loans, so I don't have a whole lot of money to celebrate the holidays this year like I consider how a salaried adult should. Lucky for me though, my parents' house is just a few hours' drive away so I don't have to spend much money on getting home for the holidays.
So I'm trying to come up with ways to save on the holidays this year. I've been looking online to come up with some ideas for stuff to make my family for presents. When I was doing that last night, I saw some stuff about
clear wireless internet prices and after looking through it, I think I've decided to change my internet service at my apartment to it.
Well, I found all kinds of
homemade gift ideas, but it was tough finding ones that I thought my family would actually like. I think IÕm going to make a bird house for my parents to put in their garden, as for my sister, IÕm still not sure what to make her.

The Sterling Heights Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 118 in cooperation with the Sterling Heights Police Department and Meijer of Sterling Heights will host the 12th annual "Cops and Kids Program" at Meijers store on Van Dyke near Metropolitan
Parkway December 11th.
The program provides children in need with about $100 to spend on toys, clothing or gifts for their families. Kids are paired with police officers who assist during their shopping sprees by helping push the carts, select products, budget the money and wrap the gifts.
Lodge 118's goal is to help 40-50 children this year. To donate money or recommend
a family for the event contact Sgt. Randy DePriest at (586) 446-2923 or

Life is meaningless only if we allow it to be. Each of us has the power to give life meaning, to make our time and our bodies and our words into instruments of love and hope.

Live every act fully, as if it were your last.

Your life feels different on you, once you greet death and understand your heart's position. You wear your life like a garment from the mission bundle sale ever after -- lightly because you realize you never paid nothing for it, cherishing because you know you won't ever come by such a bargain again.
- Louise Erdrich
It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up -- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
A life lived in love will never be dull.

What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?

Experience is how life catches up with us and teaches us to love and forgive each other.
- Judy Collins
This is the true joy of life, the being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one.
- George Bernard Shaw
Without some goal and some effort to reach it, no one can live.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Traditionally, it has been a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. While it may have been religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday. It is sometimes casually referred to as Turkey Day.
In Canada, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the second Monday in October, which is Columbus Day in the United States. In the United States, it falls on the fourth Thursday of November.
The precise historical origin of the holiday is disputed. Although Americans commonly believe that the first Thanksgiving happened in 1621 at Plymouth, Massachusetts, there is some evidence for an earlier harvest celebration by Spanish explorers in Florida during 1565. There was also a celebration two years before Plymouth (in 1619) in Virginia. There was a Thanksgiving of sorts in Newfoundland, modern-day Canada in 1578 but it was to celebrate a homecoming instead of the harvest.
Thanksgiving Day is also celebrated in Leiden, in the The Netherlands. A different holiday which uses the same name is celebrated at a similar time of year in the island of Grenada.

If there's one thing you definitely don't appreciate, it's being manipulated. You can smell it a mile away, and spot the signs with your eyes closed. So when a loved one -- probably a family member or long-term friend you've shared intimate secrets with in the past -- starts winding up, don't just sit there. You already know what they're up to. Give them your answer before they ask the question.

Are you feeling distracted? You might need to discipline yourself if you're having a hard time staying focused. Get rid of distractions that are keeping you from getting things done. If necessary, turn off your phone or television. Make a list of your priorities and don't allow yourself play time until everything is done.

It was August last year when my desktop messed up. I was in the process of finishing my thesis and the documents were saved in my very old personal computer. I had a deadline to meet and I had to print copies for myself and my professors. I was unable to do so because I had to retrieve files from my old computer’s memory. It was then I realized that I really need to have either a laptop or a notebook that I can carry anywhere I go. I went to the mall to check the price and unfortunately, I do not have enough cash to be able to buy one. I have seen also that I can purchase it using a credit card. During that time, I do not have credit card yet. At first I do not see it as a necessity so I never bother to get one. But because of what happened to me, I decided that I really should get one. I do not have idea what kind of card to get so I surf the net and was able to find this site, comparecards. This site really gave me all the information I needed to know. I have compared different cards; I have checked advantages and disadvantages of each card. I want to make sure that the card that I am going to use will have zero percent interest credit card because as a student, my budget is limited. Now, I have an student american express card that I can rely on, can be used anywhere and anytime. Visit this link for more details, compare credit cards.
