My husband and I are going to decorate our Christmas tree tonight and put up lights around our home. My husband always puts the lights up first so they can be seen immediately after dark. While he is placing them on the roof, I stay inside and bake cookies for the movie we watch that night. Every year after the tree is finished, we watch a holiday movie on our Cable TV DVR. This year we will watch A Christmas Story! What I do not know about tonight, is what my husband has planned? I over heard him talking among a group of friends about something he is doing for me tonight. The problem is, is that I have no idea what it is going to be! I hope it is not some foolish prank and that it is something sweet and romantic. My husband is a jokester, so I can never take him seriously when it comes to surprises. Last Christmas he hid a rat in the box of decorations and it scared me horribly. So clearly, I hope that decorating this year will be less intense than the last. I swear that man will be on the porch if another gruesome prank like that is pulled.

Is it right to say that NBC is my favorite sports network to watch on terrestrial or satellite television from tvbydirect.com just because of the way that they cover the Olympics? Being an Olympic fanatic, I spend two weeks every other year sitting in front of the television non-stop. It doesn't matter what sport it is in the Winter or Summer Olympics, I'm there. I'm the guy who stays up until midnight to watch a curling match. And while NBC has committed some sins by putting way more importance on just a few "American dominated" events in recent years (I'm looking at you swimming, volleyball, track and figure skating), with four or five NBC networks dedicated to around the clock coverage, all can be forgiven.

While I'm not a huge fan of the prime time coverage for the reasons I previously mentioned, I am a fan of Bob Costas. He doesn't get enough credit for the way he runs the prime time shows, which are actually a lot harder to do then they look. He has to be on the top of his game for 16 straight nights shoveling you from one event to another. He handles it with grace and ease like the his counterparts on ABC or CBS did in the past. I can only hope that FOX doesn't get ahold of the Olympics in future years.

This is my version of Pasit Palabok, a Filipino food, I cooked this the other day during my work off. I used rice noodles, pork, shrimp and boiled eggs with Pansit Palabok sauce. You can buy the sauce in any Asian store. Believe me or not, its so yummy even though I dont have the exact ingredients. So please help yourself!

Christmas Shopping can be a pain in the butt especially if you wait until the last minute to go. I always plan every year to go shopping in November but it never seems to work that way. I hate Christmas shopping in December but because we go in a group of about 017 people, we always end up having the time of our lives.

My husband, his parents, me and my parents, and our brothers and sisters all stay at my house the night before we go shopping. We all get up at five in the morning to beat the traffic. I get dressed first and cook breakfast while everyone else get dressed. Once everyone is all bundled up and ready to go. I set my home security alarm (Adt Home Security pricing) as we all head out the door.

There is no specific place we visit, but we like to catch all the sales first. There is this area with about fifty stores within walking distance that we like to hit first before we go anywhere else. Thank god for the walkie talkies we use every year because we all seem to scatter out and get lost when are looking for gifts. Once everyone is finished, we have this spot in the same area where we meet up to have a few drinks. I enjoy Christmas shopping because I get to spend time with my family.

Well, it's official! Winter is here and I am certainly looking forward to spending some quality time in the show with my family! We had our first snow this morning, so what is the only logical thing to do? We all get bundled up and headed to our backyard for all of our favorite snow activities! My daughter was making snow angels, giving my son plenty of time to pack a few http://the-hermeneutic-of-continuity.blogspot.com/2010/12/dominican-snowball-fight.html snowballs to ambush us with as we ran by! We made makeshift sleds out of garbage can lids and raced down are backyard to see who made the best sled. Turns out a round plastic lid fairs better than a flat metal lid! After we raced down the hill, we made sure to write our names in snow to give our backyard some nice decoration! We even drew portraits for each other! As we started to lose the feeling in our toes from being wet an cold we decided now would be an ideal time to brush of and head inside. The only thing better than playing in the snow all day, is coming in and getting nice and warm afterwards! We all like to cuddle up under a blanket and watch our favorite movies and shows on our DIRECTV HD DVR Deals! We're all looking forward to more snowy days in the future.

I used to do some figure skating growing up and during high school and I loved every minute of it. I wanted to continue doing it through college, but I just didn't really have the time to do it then. But now my two daughters do some figure skating on their own and I think that they love it even more than I used to.

I wanted to get them something special that's skating related for Christmas, so I went online to try and find something for them. They don't need any more skating gear, so that ruled out a bunch of my ideas. When I was online looking for that though, I came across this website http://www.cleartvbundle.com/order_bundle.htmland read through it. After that I decided to change over our home internet service because we had been having problems with the service we'd been using for a while by then.

In my search for gifts for my daughters, I found some really cute skating ornaments that I thought would be great to give them. We didn't have any skating ornaments, so I thought that they were appropriate.

My husband is a big fan of both basketball and baseball. Since we’re from Michigan, of course, we support our own; Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. There was one time, due to scheduled blackout; we’re unable to watch the game on the television. We called out television provider if there’s a way to get the game; we’re willing to pay even on pay per view. But of course, it’s beyond their control. We have learned our lesson well that is why we prefer to watch in the stadium. We already reserve tickets for Detroit Pistons games in Palace of Auburn Hills and Detroit Tigers game in Comerica Park.

I am also a big fan of Michael Jackson and Jeff Dunham. Michael Jackson’s sudden death stunned the whole world. Until now he still shares with us his music. I am planning to watch Cirque du Soleil : Michael Jackson The Immortal Tour that will start October 2011. I am also planning to visit Canada sometime next year, if budget allows; I might watch it in Air Canada Centre.

I have watched Jeff Dunham’s performance via youtube only. He is a ventriloquist and a stand-up comedian. I enjoy watching his puppets and my favorite character is Walter. He is a retired Vietnam War veteran, a grumpy old man who has negative and often sarcastic view on today's world. This man makes me laugh all the time. A friend told me that Jeff will perform 1st quarter of next year. As I have seen the schedule, I’m choosing whether to watch him on January in Arco Arena or February in EnergySolutions Arena.

All these schedules and locations I got from www.ticketamerica.com, this site made things a lot easier when it comes to watching games, concerts and different shows. This site gives you all information you need in just one click.

The only thing that I don't like about holiday crafts is that the reasonable thing to do is to take them down or get rid of them after that holiday season is through. But the thing about Christmas is that you can leave the crafts up for quite a while.

I was wanting to do some wintery craft that would last within reason even after Christmas. When I was looking online for the inspiration for the craft that I was going to make, I came across the website http://www.clearwirelessinternet.com/ and decided to change over my internet service to it after I read through all of it.

So I decided to make some snowflake garland to hang up for decoration. I strung them up from the window frames in my living room and they look really cool that way. I think that I'm going to leave them up until around Valentine's Day if they last that long. Maybe they'll make it all the way until then and then I could put them up again next year!

Being a hockey fan is so much different than being a basketball or a football fan. The game is brutal, more involved, and more passionate. I think that sort of bleeds over into the fans as well. As a Red Wings fan I can't say that I've ever felt better than when I'm sitting next to the glass at a game. I think Todd Bertuzzi is a perfect example of everything that is right about hockey. He's in your face, aggressive, and bleeding to win. He's what led me to the Red Wings and made them my favorite team. Whether it's at the glass watching the game or sitting on a big couch watching the players take the ice on satellite tv from http://www.direc4u.com/direct-tv-deals.html... It's all beautiful and perfect to me. Hockey fans are just made different because the sport is just made different. When the NFL and the NBA shut down for their different disputes I will still have a beer in hand and a grin on my face as my hockey team continues to play on.

I think winter is the best time of year and my husband thinks I'm absolutely nuts for it. We live in Maine, so we get a pretty good taste of the elements this time of year, but I really wouldn't have it any other way. I love the mountains of snow everywhere you look. I love the anticipation of going to bed one night with the hope of waking up to a sheet of pristine whiteness the next day. I feel like it's just incredibly invigorating, which is a beautiful feeling.

Tom, though, like I said, doesn't enjoy it so much. I'm sure it's because he's from down south, so he never got used to it. Either way, we still try to make this time of year special whether it's just making sure to get out to enjoy the blankets of snow we get, or doing new things like revamping the sunroom (which, ironically, is extra-gorgeous to lounge in this time of year) using HOMEPROIMPROVEMENT.com. Call me crazy, but it's always a bummer when things start to get warm again. Good thing I've got a few more months of bliss!

Definition of snow, snow flurries and snow showers;

Snow: This refers to the white, cold, flakey stuff itself. It does not describe any particular manifestation thereof.

Snow Flurry: Light, intermittent snowfall without any significant accumulation of snow on the ground.

Snow Shower: A short duration of light to moderate snowfall. Snow showers are characterized by their sudden beginnings and endings -- they're finite. They usually leave snow on the ground, but not always. Also, snow showers come from cumuliform clouds, as opposed to stratiform clouds.

Scrubs are used to be designed as simple as possible. They were just plain white for shirts and pants. Some used to wear street clothes and butcher’s apron in order to protect his clothing from becoming stained with blood. When I was young, I wondered how nurses, surgeons or any people in the medical field can manage to do their tasks while wearing white scrubs. You can get dirty which is hard to hide and hard to laundry.

Now, there are modern scrubs. Color and pattern has been improved. Experts have a change of thinking that they should improve their medical uniforms and BlueSkyscrubs.com offers finest and most fashionable medical scrubs and medical scrub hats plus they have a special offer; free shipping for purchases of $155 and more.

As a CNA, I have checked the site. I liked the hot pink scrubs. It reflects your personality while you’re on duty. You can match it with a medical uniform pants, color pink of course. Pockets are stitched beautifully and we can definitely have a space for important things needed while on duty. There are also available men’s medical uniforms, you can pick what top, bottom or set you would like to have. Now, medical personnel can be on duty on a fashionable way!

Are you an avid golfer like me? I'm lucky I have a business, most of my clients love to play golf, I get alot of perks. One of them is golfing with me on business trips. I have played golf all over the US and abroad. The biggest problem I have is booking tee times at the last minute. It's such a pain to try and get on a course at the last minute.

Last month I received notice 3 days prior I was to travel to Horizon Myrtle Beach to meet with clients. I was excited because it is one of my favorite places to golf. I realized that I didn't have much time to book a course to play so I did a little research online. Much to my surprise I found a sweet operation at Myrtle Beach hotel. They had last minute online reservations 24/7. I was excited, they offer over 80 courses to choose from. Their unique web service let me browse Myrtle Beach best hotels area courses for last minute. I gave them the travel dates, area courses, and times. I received my confirmation by email the same day! With no membership fee, they are your fee free 48 hour tee time source! What a sweet deal! If your headed to Myrtle Beach and enjoy golfing as much as I do, check http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com/ you be pleased.

The Christmas tree is a decorated evergreen coniferous tree, real or artificial, and a tradition associated with the celebration of Christmas. The Christmas tree is often brought into a home, but can also be used in the open, and can be decorated with Christmas lights (originally candles), ornaments, garlands and tinsel during the days around Christmas. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity. The tradition of decorating an evergreen tree at Christmas started in Germany in the 16th century. Visit Wikipedia for more details.

Even though I am making a salary now as a college graduate, a big part of that is going towards paying off student loans, so I don't have a whole lot of money to celebrate the holidays this year like I consider how a salaried adult should. Lucky for me though, my parents' house is just a few hours' drive away so I don't have to spend much money on getting home for the holidays.

So I'm trying to come up with ways to save on the holidays this year. I've been looking online to come up with some ideas for stuff to make my family for presents. When I was doing that last night, I saw some stuff about clear wireless internet prices and after looking through it, I think I've decided to change my internet service at my apartment to it.

Well, I found all kinds of homemade gift ideas, but it was tough finding ones that I thought my family would actually like. I think IÕm going to make a bird house for my parents to put in their garden, as for my sister, IÕm still not sure what to make her.

I have a friend who is a small-time entrepreneur; she sells products like shirts, bags, shoes, perfumes and jewelry. Her buyers were used to be from the office only but market has broadened when she enhanced her marketing strategy by creating a website that will showcase her products online.

She has considered a lot of things before she was able to successfully finished her site; like the design, storage for the pictures of her products, options for payments, and of course, the webhost.

Setting online store wasn’t easy. Challenges like making profit and website ranking will be encountered. There are lots of webhosts available online but before she chose what webhost to use, she checked website hosting first. She specifically focused on the features, ratings given and price before choosing the best webhost to use.
After picking the right provider, she now has her own E-Shoppe. All transactions are done online; customers are able to check the products without spending any for travelling. Now, she gains more profit because she can accept orders anywhere in the country because products are well presented. Aside from selling products online, she was also able to work on her blog. She’s truly an inspiration, kudos to you my friend!

Thanksgiving on the Ranch

Guest post of the week by Austin Fields

Going home for Thanksgiving is one of the best parts of my year. We usually arrive at my family ranch the day before Thanksgiving so all of us can pitch in and cook. I think that this holiday has always been more about the conversations in the kitchen than the dinner itself. My family always has their own dishes that they make and we all look forward to each year.

I usually make a potato dish with cheese, slow baked. I usually only make it during Thanksgiving, so my kids are always begging to be the first to dig into it. My mother makes pies. My favorite is cherry so she makes fruit pies as well as pumpkin. My husband cooks the turkey and the kids all pitch in with the side dishes.

We serve dinner at noon in our family dining room and all say what we are happy for, while we eat. It is a fun meal full of laughter and catching up. After dinner it is usually all of the teenagers that do the dishes, while the adults sit on the front porch with coffee and pie.

The evening brings sounds of our DirectTV HD Packages with ball games and late movies for the kids. There is usually a bunch of sleeping bags filled with kids in the living room all night. Sometimes I will sit and watch the sun rise the next day and recall all of the memories of the year.

I remember when my husband proposed to me. We were on a dinner date and he doesn’t have any engagement ring on hand. Everything happened so fast, we were so in love and it was like nobody can keep us apart from each other. When he asked me to marry him without an engagement ring, of course, I was a bit sad because every engaged woman must have a ring on her right hand. To satisfy and please me, what he did was to look for a pre-set engagement ring. His friend advised him to check the website, http://www.since1910.com/, then after 24 hours, I got my engagement ring. He was pleased with the service provided by this site because I got my engagement so fast, no shipping fee, 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and has a reasonable price. So when we got married, he also got our wedding ring through this site. He asked me to check the site and pick what ring I would like to have. I have chosen a wedding ring that I will wear for the rest of our lives and that will symbolize our deepest love for each other for an endless time. This site made me the happiest woman on earth and I have also recommended this site to my friends who are planning to tie the knot. Visit these links for more details engagement rings, wedding rings.

Black Friday Here I Come

Thanks for the post, Reynaldo Conley

My favorite time of year is here and I got my list from the kids last night on what they wanted for Christmas this year. I got to admit I am excited this year with seeing what is in the sale papers so far. My daughter is begging me like crazy to buy her a Barbie doll collector 2010 and not to mention a Barbie doll house to play with these barbies in. And my son, well hes at that expensive stage. Hes pitching a fit for a laptop computer. All I can say is thank God for my husbands bonus that came in right in the nick of time.

My husband is already mad at me. This time of year he hates it since I force him to come with me. But who else is going to carry everything I buy that day. Target, Wally World, KMart, and the mall better watch out. I got my husbands check and know how to use it. At least my husband is the logical one. He is the one that alwayss remember to set the all home security system on the house before we leave. If it was left up to me I would most likely forget.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Traditionally, it has been a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. While it may have been religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday. It is sometimes casually referred to as Turkey Day.

In Canada, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the second Monday in October, which is Columbus Day in the United States. In the United States, it falls on the fourth Thursday of November.

The precise historical origin of the holiday is disputed. Although Americans commonly believe that the first Thanksgiving happened in 1621 at Plymouth, Massachusetts, there is some evidence for an earlier harvest celebration by Spanish explorers in Florida during 1565. There was also a celebration two years before Plymouth (in 1619) in Virginia. There was a Thanksgiving of sorts in Newfoundland, modern-day Canada in 1578 but it was to celebrate a homecoming instead of the harvest.

Thanksgiving Day is also celebrated in Leiden, in the The Netherlands. A different holiday which uses the same name is celebrated at a similar time of year in the island of Grenada.

Couple of months ago, me and my husband decided to renovate our garden. Our old garden was kind of boring and common. We wanted to make our garden more romantic and unique, a place where we can spend quality time. Before the renovation, I have checked different magazines, sites, shops so I can have a better picture of what I would like to see in my garden. What really caught my attention is this site, http://www.mailboxandbeyond.com/, they offer home and garden décor and some other stuffs too. Things I need in my garden are available in their site like garden hose holder and garden accents. We also decided to put table and chairs in the garden so we have a place to sit down, talk while drinking coffee or tea in the morning or afternoon to either watch the sunrise or sunset. We’re also inspired to change our address plaque to match our newly-renovated garden. Before it only shows the house number but we decided to put the street name as well and change the shape. Mailbox and beyond helped me get my dream garden, aside from the personal and unique products they offer, they also guarantee lowest price and free shipping. Try this out and it will definitely make your dream come true! For more information visit this link house address plaques, address signs.

It was August last year when my desktop messed up. I was in the process of finishing my thesis and the documents were saved in my very old personal computer. I had a deadline to meet and I had to print copies for myself and my professors. I was unable to do so because I had to retrieve files from my old computer’s memory. It was then I realized that I really need to have either a laptop or a notebook that I can carry anywhere I go. I went to the mall to check the price and unfortunately, I do not have enough cash to be able to buy one. I have seen also that I can purchase it using a credit card. During that time, I do not have credit card yet. At first I do not see it as a necessity so I never bother to get one. But because of what happened to me, I decided that I really should get one. I do not have idea what kind of card to get so I surf the net and was able to find this site, comparecards. This site really gave me all the information I needed to know. I have compared different cards; I have checked advantages and disadvantages of each card. It's time for tennis season again, and I couldn't be more excited. I've been following the professionals all year long, and watching so many exciting matches that I was more ready than ever before to get back on the court. Though I normally play on indoor courts during the winter, they're never quite as enjoyable as the fresh outdoor courts at the park near my home.

Last weekend, it was almost warm enough to play, so I decided to head out and brave the chilly air. I packed my tennis bag with my racket, balls, and water, set my Besthomesecurity home security alarm, and drove to the park. I found that several other people must have been waiting just like I had, because the backboards were all full. I decided to take a walk around the park first to stretch out, and when I returned, there was finally a backboard open.

I was happy to find out that my practice during the winter had paid off, as I wasn't nearly as rusty as I sometimes am during the first spring session. I spent nearly two hours on the backboards, and had a really good workout doing so. When I returned home, I decided to leave my equipment in the car, because I knew I would be heading back to the park as soon as possible again.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m so thankful that Sony released PlayStation Move because I and my family got to enjoy playing it especially during rest days and weekends. Instead of us going out with friends, we invite them to our home to play; we spend great time together playing this because aside from us enjoying the game, we also get a chance to exercise. It gives fun and healthy living.

One weekend, I and my husband played Time Crisis, which is one of my husband’s favorite arcade games. I had a great time unloading heavy firepower at anything and everything I aim by pointing the Move, shooting by pulling the trigger, and reloading behind by pressing and holding the Move button. I really enjoyed the accuracy and precision and also the responsiveness of the PlayStation Move controls. I’m excited to play more games using these controls.

First time I have heard about this, I thought of swapping our PlayStation 3 to get PlayStation Move. I have visited http://www.playstationmove.com to get more information and good thing, Move works with PlayStation 3 system. Good news as well that there’s Move bundle package for only $99.99. This bundle package is available in Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, etc.

PlayStation Move gives an indescribable experience with motion gaming. I have recommended this to my families and friends. This doesn’t just put smile on one’s face but also in one’s heart.

Kodak wanted to get into the Instant Film market to compete with Polaroid. Uh Oh...Polaroid's got a serious case of the red butt. Polaroid hired 84,000 lawyers and sued the daylights out of Kodak. Kodak ran for the hills like a wounded banshee rooster. Naturally, Polaroid won the case. Kodak was ordered to buy back all the Instant Cameras they had sold, or, give the consumer credit towards a new Kodak camera of a different type. They had to pull all of these off the shelves. Kodak took a MAJOR hit on this! The VAST majority of these Kodak Instant Cameras are permanent residents at local dumps across the country. There just aren't that many still around. People threw them away right & left...because....you CANNOT get film for them. It doesn't exist. Polaroid film will not work in these. We're talking EXTREME collector's items. It is 20-30 years old and you've got a little goldmine. Nice condition for it's age. No bad damage! It's missing one of the face labels. Yes, it takes batteries, but why mention it when you'll never be taking any pictures with it. 6 1/2" X 6 1/2"

Located in Brgy. Tominamos, Samar, Philippines. These two kids, ages 12 and 14, likes to climbed up the coconut tree even though without proper safety stuff. It's very dangerous but they made it all the way up. Believe me or not, they does it everyday to make ends meet. They sell coconut in the market to buy food for their family.
